HOPE Dinner for HIV-Positive Persons
For last 11 years, Saint Augustine R.C. Church has been providing monthly HOPE Dinners to HIV-positive persons and their children. Every third Sunday of each month, from 3:00 to 6:00pm, approximately 40 people gather for family-style dinner with volunteers joining the guests at the dinner table. Saint Augustine is looking for volunteers who can assist with this dinner. There are three kinds of volunteers: the set-up crew who prepare the tables, the food only preparation volunteers, and the food preparation/serving/clean-up volunteers. The food is prepared in the volunteers’ homes. There is a need for additional volunteers in all three volunteer capacities.
Volunteers interested in assisting with dinner set-up should contact Kevin Cooper at .
Volunteers interested in either food preparation or food preparation/serving/clean-up should contact Bob Biegen at or at (718) 789-2469.
