We believe that it is important for us to be a church not just in the Park Slope neighborhood but a church for the neighborhood as well. If you would like to know more about why we believe this, click here. Our Community Service Team seeks to facilitate our members and neighbors with opportunities to engage the needs of Park Slope.

Fifth Avenue Committee Garden : In partnership with FAC, we would like to plant a vegetable garden in one of the backyards of their properties. If you are interested in participating in the initial planning and organizing of this project and/or would like to be a regular garden volunteer, please contact Katie McNamara, .
Work Project Week, April 9-13 : During the week of NYC Spring Break, we will participate in various volunteer opportunities in our borough. Please make plans to attend all or a portion of this work week. To RSVP, contact Marc Choi,
Bishop Boardman Movie Night, April 28 and June 9 : Bishop Boardman is one of many Catholic Charities facilities in Brooklyn that provide affordable housing for elderly and disabled individuals and families. The residents of Bishop Boardman love the opportunity to visit with their neighbors. To this end, PSPC hosts regular movie nights at the apartments. Come enjoy a classic movie and conversation with our neighbors. Come at 6:15PM to welcome guests and serve snacks, movie starts at 6:30PM. Our dates for the spring are April 28 and June 9th. Brooklyn Jubilee : Brooklyn Jubilee is a Christian organization formed for the purpose of cultivating healthy Brooklyn neighborhoods, and promoting peace and prosperity for all of Brooklyn. They are looking for volunteers who love Brooklyn and want to give their time and talents in a variety of ways. Volunteering can be as simple as giving a warm welcome or providing a listening ear for their clients. Brooklyn Jubilee also specifically looks for those in legal fields to serve in their legal advisory ministry. They are looking for health professionals, dietitians, food professionals, and social workers to assist in the formation of a health care ministry. Park Slope Armory Women’s Shelter : Looking for people to organize events to facilitate social interaction with the clients.
