Stewardship
"For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich." —St. Paul
At Park Slope Presbyterian Church, we believe that all of life can only be properly understood when viewed through the lens of the gospel of Jesus Christ. In him, we discover that God is willing to give us everything we need to live for him in this world. This includes our material possessions. The only way to be free from the controlling power of our possessions and live freely and generously is to remember that every good and perfect gift comes to us by the grace of God our Savior. We have been given all things in Jesus Christ, but not simply for the sake of our pleasure. Instead, we are called to be good stewards because all things belong to him.
