Art in the Lenten Season
We would love to feature artworks that resonate during this season of Lent, a season of repentant renewal that points to Easter. In the liturgical calendar, purple is often used to symbolize this Lenten season. If you have any work that might dovetail nicely, please email me at , thanks!

Megan Besley in NYU Faculty Recital
Please join us as we support our own Megan Besley at 8 p.m. Monday, March 8, as she performs selections from Debussy's "Ariettes Oubliees" during the NYU faculty recital at the Frederick Loewe Theatre, 35 W. 4th Street between University Place and Greene Street. Cost: Free.
Jess Anthony in 'An American Rendition'
Our own Jess Anthony will be dancing in Jane Comfort & Company's Saturday, March 27, production of "An American Rendition" at the Theatre at the Raritan Valley Community College in Raritan, N.J., near Somerville, about an hour west of Island on I-287. Heidi Brewer in 'Ye All Are Against Me'
Come out to support our own Heidi Brewer at 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, as she dances a duet with choreographer Gretchen Weber in "Ye All Are Against Me," presented by Danspace Project at St. Mark's Church In-The-Bowery, 131 E. 10th Street at 2nd avenue.
