Community Groups
Community Groups are small groups (10-15 people) designed to foster Christian community. Through regular meetings at apartments and homes across the borough, people are introduced to the Good News of Jesus, equipped to serve him, and then released to work for the kingdom of God. Our network of Community Groups are the place where people experience authentic Christian fellowship and care.
In addition to cultivating relational life within the church, Community Groups are also the primary means by which our church cultivates a relationship with the neighborhood. Each Community Group is actively involved in serving the people of Brooklyn in some capacity, volunteering in parks, shelters, soup kitchens, assisted living facilities and many other places as well. While these projects are meant to serve those in Brooklyn, they also serve to foster relationships within the groups.
The Biblical picture of God’s Kingdom depicts men and women living and serving together for the good of others and glory of God. It is our hope that Community Groups will be a small glimpse of the perfect relationships people will someday have with God and one another. If you are not in a group and would like to be, please use the resources available on this site, contact the leader, or talk to one of your friends who attends a group. If you have been part of a Community Group for some time and would like to lead one, please contact the pastoral staff.
