Giving to Ethiopia

Jan 21, 2010

The Brooklyn Presbyterian Church team going to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia leaves Friday, February 12th. There are two ways you can support the Ethiopia mission. In lieu of a fundraiser this year, we are asking you to consider making direct donations above and beyond your regular giving that will go toward the cost of the trip. Checks may be placed in the offering plate or mailed to the church office with ‘Ethiopia’ in the memo line. Also, donations of medical and other supplies helps the Project care well for their clients. If you would like to donate supplies (see list below), please bring them to services no later than Sunday, February 7th, leave them in the collection box in the back of the cafeteria, and they will be transported by the team to their destination!

Needed supplies: adult and chewable children’s multivitamins (w/minerals, no iron), ibuprofen, artificial tears, Robitussin DM, hydrocortisone cream, alcohol hand sanitizer, toothpaste, dandruff shampoo,  hotel size bar soap, snack and sandwich size Ziploc bags, Red Heart worsted 3-4 oz. yarn.
